Mark has worked in cyber security for 21 years with a prior background in IT projects and software development. He holds a Master’s Degree in Information Security and Computer Crime, CISSP and a bunch of other security qualifications, including in risk and computer forensics. Mark has been Head of Cyber Security at DVLA for over a decade, with experience securing a broad range of technologies and using a variety of security tools. Notably in the last five years Mark has managed the insourcing of all cyber security functions, creating and standing up an in-house SOC and enabling a forensic and threat hunting capability, as well as redesigning the security response to address agile development, and the transition to cloud, containerised and serverless architectures.
